The Prophecy from LCOA
"The Child of day must do battle with the Queen of night,
to vanquish her he needs a power beyond her sight.
The maiden's heart and the dragon's flame,
must must come together in Greece's name.
A sacrifice is made at Hades Gate,
to seal the kiss on the planet's fate.
For he will fail if he fights alone,
with his bones impaled on the Olympus throne."
It's funny,
When I think of what I used to be,
I never thought I'd be standing here,
The head of a company that used to be an idea.
I never thought that Nocturnal Press,
Would be a success,
Now watch when our books fly off the press,
I used to be a man, who was full of self doubt,
But now I'm a man of whom everyone is proud.
I was the one, who everybody picked on,
Now I'm the one that everybody counts on,
And I stand before you,
The living proof,
That dreams really do come true.
Sometimes we're like Bonnie and Clyde,
Others we're like Jekyll and Hyde,
Sometimes we're deep in love,
Others you're killing my mind.
I kick you out,
I take you back,
Soon it isn't just words,
Soon our words are turning into slaps.
Because of all the mind games you play,
Digging in the knife,
Then you're begging me to stay,
But we're both addicted to our dysfunctional love.

"The Dairy Depot Disaster"
Max Turner felt out of place and completely alone. He breathed out a sigh of sadness, as he looked out at the winter traffic trawling past on the frosty motorway. Max had no friends or family, not since he had to run away from his drug addicted foster parents, but that was another story. Thus, for the past year, he did all he had to so he could survive, even if it meant stealing fruit from one of the nearby market stalls. Somewhere in the distance Big Ben chimed twelve times to signal the dawn of his fifteenth birthday. To Max though, it wasn't so much his birthday, as it was just another day, ano

"The unlikely soldier"
Hermes walked through the streets of Litochoro. He wasn't sure how the Queen was going to take this, but he gave me no choice! He thought to himself. He crouched down to tighten the laces on his trainers then he started to float towards the top of Mount Olympus. But it wasn't the warm, friendly but respected home he used to know, when it was ruled over by Zeus. This Olympus was icy and harsh. A pack of wild wolves sat at the top of the mountain, feasting on the carcass of a dead satyr. Olympus had changed. The once solid marble pillars were now encased in ice. Hermes swooped down to land on the sn

"Apollo's explanation"
Apollo dropped to all fours, golden horns formed on either side of his head and slowly, he began to transform into a big red cow. He hoisted Max onto his back with his horns and charged into the car at full speed, flipping it back onto its tyres. Apollo crouched low so that Max slid off his back and landed on the tarmac. Then he stood on his hind legs and morphed back into a man. The god ripped the door off the car's hinges and dragged the lifeless body of Eileen Breen out of the wreckage. He laid her down on the road then he pulled out two golden coins from his jacket. Max tapped him on the shoulder. "Wait a minute,"

"The wolf and the crow"
A loud clanging of truncheon against steel awoke Max from his sleep. Max didn't care about that, in fact he was grateful as every time he fell asleep he would dream of his mother's death and the familiar feeling of guilt and helplessness would surface and wash over him like a tsunami. "Oi, get up!" the guard shouted. "Your interview is about to start." Max nodded his head in reply then he stood up and stretched his arms. He checked to see if anyone was watching, then he removed the pendant from underneath his t-shirt. He had never seen anything like it in his life. Behind closed doors,
She gets battered and bruised,
Because of domestic abuse,
Her husband is violent,
And beats her down,
Crumbles her til she cries out loud.
Hits and punches,
Knives and guns,
Glass and steel,
Cuts and laughs.
He scares the children,
Makes them depressed,
And as death knocked on the door and said,
"Well done my man, You've killed your wife,
I applaude your violence,
For now I have taken another life"
It was then,
When he finally he showed remorse,
He was sorry,
For all the pain he had caused.
But nothing that he could do,
Would ever bring her back,
So he packed up his bags and left without a track.
When people feel alone, worried or scared,
Most people find comfort in their teddy bear,
Or maybe their mum,
Or to talk to their friends,
But not I, something else makes my heart mend,
Something that'll make people call me mad,
But it's the only thing that makes me forget I'm sad,
To them it's nothing,
Just plain, but to me,
It's just truly beautiful, through what my eyes see.
A piece of paper,
That's what it is,
A burst of creativity that pops and fizz,
For I have no need to tell people how I feel,
Because I put my emotions in a poem , and then my soul heals,
My writing is my shield,
Against their cruel words,
And their hits
Waiting by the phone,
Hoping you'll come home,
All the fights,
And all the lies,
Don't add up to this.
Tearing down the photos,
Of you and me,
People warned me not to trust you,
And now I'm in defeat.
You've been gone days now,
So I called the police,
Asked them for a search party,
Where the hell can you be?
They came back the next day,
With some bad news indeed,
You were dead,
My heart echoed an empty heartbeat,
My heart cracked open,
And my eyes welled with tears,
All that I felt was heartbreak and fear,
And they said that you were coming straight home to me,
There was no cheating or lying,
It was all a fantasy,
A st
